I'm using D-Link DSL-2640T. Should I check the box of it when I choose WPA2

That allows you to use a password for your router that is easier to remember (Compared to encrypted passwords which look like gibberish that I could maybe recall the first 3 characters of).

The upside; It's easier to tell friends what the password is for them to get online at your place.
The downside; If your password is a single word in the dictionary, your password can be breached in less than an hour.

If you use it, make it multiple words, throw numbers in, or make it weird. It'll take a few days to crack the password then.
