I know you can buy this thing that does this...

It takes the Cable wire and turns it into a wireless signal, so then i can go on a laptop in the house and watch the TV on it.

    What do i need? Thanks.

Well, a slingbox can do that. To any PC or laptop and certain mobile phones(windows mobile, symbian, palm OS now, blackberry and iphone coming soon)

    http://www.slingmedia.com/go/slingbox

Connect slingbox to cable, connect slingbox to wired or wireless router, install slingbox client on desktop/laptop/phone/pda and TADA!

Hell, i watch cable on my phone at work ;)

Yeah I would say take a look at Slingbox. Not sure if you can do it directly with Windows Media Center. I know you can buy media extenders but those are hooked up to TVs.

Not if you have Vista business, it doesn't have media center.

I do not think you can do what the OP wants to do with Media Center anyhow.
