Would other people hogging up the bandwidth affect router ping? I just moved into a new place and my ping to the router is terrible (2701hg-g), but I'm at 4 bars.

    Any ideas?

Ping can and in most cases will go up if the connection is maxed (or if router is under load close to its limit)

Ping can be affected by many things, like how good the connection is from your house to your ISP, or if you got a crap router.

For me the difference between cable and wireless gives around 2ms to 3ms in difference.

    Connected with cable.
