    I have a question about ad-hoc networks.

Using my laptop near the window I can see 4 or 5 wireless connections, all secure but one, which is an Ad-Hoc network.

Just being courious, I tried to connect to it (I use Intel Pro/Wireless software with an Intel3945 card). For my surprise, it connected!

Now I'm connected, but I can't see the other computer (I only tried at my network places). I was wondering if there's anything I can do with that connection; maybe sending a message to the other device, sharing some files or something like that.

    Thanks!!

if it's not your connection, you should not connect to it.
