    Hi,

I bought Sony NR38s laptop yesterday and will appreciate if someone can help me with:

How fast is the built in wireless LAN/Modem on NR38S laptop? I mean is it 54Mbps or 108 etc...? or ist something to do with wifi connectivity?

For a one bedroom flat what Routher shall I buy to use wireless internet. My broadband provider is Virgin media and my bb speed is 4MB.

Dose wireless slow down the speed or can it work at same speed as connected with ethernet cable?

    Many thanks in advance.
    T

Not sure what your config is but im pretty sure it comes with Wireless N (Draft)

A 4mb internet connection wont max out a Wireless G (54mbps) connection. For this instance it will work the same as an ethernet cable, just with a slightly higher latency (2-5 microseconds slower)

You should be just fine with any so-called Super-G wireless router.
