I was using winxp very well then i decided to use win vista ultimate. I installed everything and my internet works. When i use internet explorer and try to surf on the internet... the problem occurs !!

I cannot go to webpage like dell's, microsoft's,ibm's, anything similar! It takes forever to load and then it shows me search.live.com and shows me a few link (just like google.com) but when i click on any of the links shown. I get error just like if i don't have any internet connection or link is invalid.

But i can go on webpage like notebookreview,lego,megagames,filefront...I searched everywhere but i have NO IDEA what is this problem!! Windows Update is able to download updates. please help guys. I am using Wireless 3945. Thank you.

Try using FireFox to see if it performs any differently.

If it doesn't, try using OpenDNS servers (see http://www.opendns.org/ for the servers and instructions).

Change you MTU setting down to 1492, This can be a port adv setting and/or in the router.

Hey, thanks for the replies. Still can't access dell.ca ,microsoft.com, ibm.com or similar.... This is bugging me!!

I found another problem , hope this helps :

Only my laptop gets this problem, either its Wired cable 10/100 or Wireless. Other desktops in the house (wired) has no problem at all.) So i think the problem is the laptop itself.
