3 months ago, I bought a Linksys WRT300N Router and sent it to Viet Nam for my aunt. One of her friend set it up for her. However, he accidentally changed the router's password somewhere in the process. Now she can't configure the router because it keeps asking for the router password. Refering to the manual, there are 2 ways to solve this problem:

1/ Reset the router by pushing the reset button => She tries it. It doesn't work.

2/ Type in the router's IP and access to it. She tries it also but doesn't work either. According to the manual, you need to enter the password 'admin' and leave the Username blank to access the this page. However, it doesn't work in this case.

I'm stuck right now. Anyone has a recommendation ? All suggestions are welcome. Thanks for helping me out, guys.

With power applied to the router, press and hold the reset button for 5 to 10 seconds. If her friend changed the default admin password, then the default admin password won't work until the router is reset to factory again. If you do reset the router, all custom settings in the router will be reset back to the default factory configuration.

The default user is usually "admin", and the password is either blank, or "admin" as well. Then she can change it back. It will always ask for a password when she tries to log in.

After she resets the router, username is blank and password is admin.
