I am not sure this is a hardware or software issue but I'll start the post here and see what happens.

I use a Microsoft BT mouse which I like as I have big hands and it fits comfortably. I enable the BT on boot up at the Windows Logon Screen / logon it 'usually' responds quickly with a knudge or two. I can live with delays here.

My 'issue' is leaving the mouse alone for 5 - 10 minutes, sometimes I have to 'wake up' the BT connection again. Sometimes it just takes a nudge of the mouse, other times it is like sandpapering a piece of wood to remove the knots

Eventually it always 'wakes up' and responds - just curious if there are any settings I can change or newer drivers perhaps (it is hard to find BT drivers BTW)

think we are counting BT as Networking/Wireless, but not 100% sure.

Are you just using the XP drivers for bluetooth? or some other driver?

Feel free to move to the appropriate form - I was unsure as well

I have to use the WIDCOMM drivers to enable my Cell Phone (Motorola Razr V3c) to connect and allow OBEX file transfers.

I use to use the generic Microsoft drivers , but as far as I can remember the delays were the same with the MS drivers as with the WIDCOMM.

    thx.........dy

Do you have the latest Widcom drivers? I have version 4.0.1.2101, I think this is the latest.

I use BT for a wireless headset, so cannot help with the wake up issue. But I always have some weird quirks with BT on XP ... I just ignore them, I am hoping microsoft or newer drivers at some point solve the problems with BT and windows.

No I have version 3.0.1.902 ? I had a bugger of time finding new drivers - do you know where I can get your version ?

I will google again to see if I can find some.

Yeah I am finding now that I have a device (phone) that is using some of the other features of BT (Dial Up Networking / OBEX) BT is not as stable as I had thought or hoped it was ......

get them from zonet's site. www.zonetusa.com
That's the manufacturer of my BT device, but they have the standard (not zonet branded) drivers. And I believe they should work with any widcom device. MSI also uses the generic standard drivers

Ummm that is a distinct possibility with my recent 'BT - OBEX' frustration I was just eager to blame it on BT ...I will try that thanks !
