    Look Here.

I have unlimited data serviece with my provider. What I am wondering, is if I buy this card, can I use it to connect or configure it to use my cell signal/number when accessing the internet?

I'm pretty sure that would be like any other air card. You would have to pay for service on it by adding it to your account. That is if would work on a CDMA provider. I didn't read the details. A better option may be adding the tethering feature to your phone and connecting to your notebook via USB or bluetooth. Probably cheaper than another device.

Yes with the tether. Got it already-and a WiFI Router program. But how cool would it be not to have to use the phone at all?

Since this is CDMA and not GSM/UMTS, in order for you to use it you'd have to activate it through Alltel and be on a separate line than your mobile phone. CDMA uses an IMEI instead of GSM SIM cards. If you have unlimited data on your phone and it's an Android device, you could root it and tether unlimited for free, or pay for the tethering option on top of your Unltd package on your device. In the short, your data card and your phone would have to be on separate lines on your account if you don't want to use the phone tethering.
