How would the Linksys WRT150N compare with the Belkin N1 Wireless-N router? The Linksys has two antennae while the Belkin has three.

I'm also curious about this. I finally got a -N computer so I would like to utilize it. Is it worth upgrading from a -G system?

I'm asking because I'm still waiting for the Belkin to be delivered from Dell. It's on delay. I was wondering if I should cancel and buy the WRT150N which is only $10 more than what I paid for the Belkin N1.

I personally am not sure about the 3 antenna's to 2. But the Belkin n1 router
for me just did not do it. 2 replacements in 3 months. dropped signals, would work for a few days at a time. tech was just awful! nobody knew anything.
i passed the warranty. so they could only exchange it. no more after 2 of them. got credit from them! Then i realized i do not need an n router.
so the Linksys wrt54gl is great!

Belkin support is the worse I have even seen even I'm happy with My ADSL WLAN router F5D7633 over WAG from linksys because LinkSys doesn't support Range Extender for WAG yet.

I has an N1 and it was one of the best routers I ever used. I had an excellent signal all over my house and property. Setup was quick and easy and never needed to call tech support. My ex-wife kept it when I moved out and I haven't had the time to pick up a new one.

Belkin N1. It was a great router. I was able to pick up a signal all over my property which was about 1 acre. I could go sit out at the property line (my fence) about 500 feet from the house and still got a strong signal.

I'm experiencing intermittent connections with the WRT150N. Both wired and wireless connections go down once in awhile. But they don't go down in the sense that I can't see the router in the manager. I can see it, I can see it's signal quality, but I can't connect once I get "disconnected". And I get "disconnected" in the sense that the Internet just doesn't work, even though both wireless and wired connections still show an active connection. When this happens, I unplug my router and plug it back in. That seems to fix it until it "disconnects" again in a few hours.

Try reseting the router itself. Take a Ball point pen and press the reset button on the back of the router. This will however delete all your settings allong with your ROuters connection name and all settings.

I updated the firmware, did a hard reset, nothing worked. I tried lowering the MTU and that didn't work either.

I changed my security to WEP from WPA2 and it's been working for four hours straight. I think I might have something here.

I to did the same as you exept Ijust got the WRT54G, BTW I think the N routers and cards are very problimatic right now because they are still in the draft stages and there really isn't a standard for them from the ones ihave tried and the ones I have installed for customers.

I had a Linksys WRT300N v1 that was nothin but problems,
dropped links, etc, just like ATR90-nothing fixed it, and it eventually died completely-

So what I did was go to Wi-Fi Alliance and checked them out, and eventually bought the D-Link DIR-655:

here's the Wi-Fi Alliance list of Wireless N draft 2.0 certified products
    http://certifications.wi-fi.org/wbc...&x=30&y=18&selected_certifications%5B]=33

The WRT300N v1 isn't draft 2.0 certified as of now, so if you do decide on that one,(which I'll personally never do again) make sure it's v1.1.
the DIR-655 is draft 2.0 certified:smile: and I'm extremely pleased with it.
No drops, no hassles, consistently 130Mbps, and it has gigabit ports for cat 5 too!! :spinny:

    addendum-

yup you need to have the router set to WPA2 for the best speeds.
WPA2 is the best available right now-don't use WEP
