    First, i'll like to say that networking and stuff is not my expertise, and i can't access my router to tweak settings since its still my parents :p

    Anyways,

    i want to use windows remote desktop connection, and tight vnc with hamachi to remote desktop it. could someone help me with a step by step tutoraial? thanks!

    Well for either of those programs to work, you will need to forward the correct ports on your router to the host machine.

    What kind of router is it? Maybe it doesn't have a firewall built in.

    some airlink router. point is, i'm sure its worked just w/ hamachi and some vnc real vnc. but i want to use tight vnc b/c it has a portalbe version.

    As long as you have a VNC server, you can use any VNC client with it.

    well, yea, i'm not so litterate on vnc ports and all that....help please? haha i know i know, call me stupid. i'm need to learn all about networking lol.

    Well, just install tight VNC. Here is a pretty simple guide. Then, test the port to make sure that it is visible to the net.

    For Windows Remote Desktop it is port 3389. You can enable it by right clicking My Computer>Properties>Remote Settings (On the left). Then go to the Remote Tab and select 'Allow connections from computers running any version of Remote Desktop'. Then it will add an exception to Windows firewall.
