Hi folks... hope there are experts here ^^

Ok I'm having this year-long problem with my laptop configured wirelessly to my workplace... apparently, it is very erratic.

I almost always cannot get it to reconnect wirelessly whenever I restart the PC. Sometimes when it wakes up from sleep, or sometimes even if I switched it on for the first time in the day.

The problem is I don't experience this at all @ home, which I use WEP authentication. Yeah, I know it is less secure, but at least it NEVER gave me any disconnection/fail to reconnect sh*t.

My wireless network at my workplace is said to be WPA-Enterprise. So, strangely, there isn't a need for any password. Also, there is all the crap about validate certificate, caching profile on computer, all those sh*t.

Can someone explain how I can configure so that it will be hassle-free? The techs at my workplace aren't really able to solve the problem... even after a year.

Btw I'm using vista with SP1. The problem was not resolved even after SP1.

Please help! Any recommendation for me to check out the settings on my own is fine! :)

Almost sounds like they are have problem with the radius server doing the auth. Could also be a timing issue since wireless can be a lot slower if there is a lot of traffic. May have them activate QoS bandwidth control to even up the load on wireless. You may be able to increase priority based on application and/or IP address (radius server). This should speed up the auth process.
