My college uses an WPA-Enterprise connection, i have no issues connecting to it and i am able to use the connection. However, after 5-10 mintues my wireless radio gets turns off and i am showed an error of Problem Applying Profile. I have disabled DEP according to the intel website, along with adding the intel program into the DEP settings and im still getting the same error. To add more confusion to the mix, when i use a regular WPA or a open wireless connection i do not get the error and can be connected for hours

Anyone knows why i get that error on that one connection? The college does not use that EAP-FAST which intel suggested that might of been the cause but it is not. I have also tried both dell and intel drivers and they dont work either :(. Running win xp pro sp2

Laptop is dell e1505, card is 3945abg

When I get calls about this error, I just have the customer repair the ProSet Utility. Just open up Add/Remove programs and find 'Intel ProSet Utility'. Click on the 'change/remove' button and choose 'repair' from the window that pops up. Usually fixes it. Not sure if it will work in your case since you have presumably uninstalled and reinstalled it while switching from the Dell to the Intel driver. Might be worth a try.

When i tried dell and intel drivers, i did a fresh clean install of windows xp sp2

I also tried the repair install as well, and still noting

One thing, i also tried doing was installing the dell drivers first then do a repair with the intel drivers and same problem

Did you follow the Dell installation guide? Did you make sure to install all of the required system software and drivers?

Another thing, the college broadcast the wireless in B and G. Could my card be confused between these two modes which might cause an conflict?

Are you using Intel manager or MS? You only want one active at a time or they will fight each other.

Yes, they fail to troubleshoot or talk to me about. The couple of people i talked to said that there is a conflict of windows causing the intel program to create a conflict. Whatever that means, since im cluless because they dont explain anything to me or attempt to fix it

I went back to WEP because I was having problems with WPA, try to see if WEP still works.

Wirelessman: Don't use WEP - it's a joke. If you are having trouble with WPA, start a new thread and I'm certain you'll get it fixed.

Shof515: If you have XP, you might need to download and install the WPA update.

    See if that helps.

I will go back to WPA soon, but I'm in the midle of doing other changes to my network and I can't afford to work in too many things at the same time, but WPA is definitely a must.
