    1) WPA uses what's known as a RADIUS server to set up keys. WPA-PSK requires a password which can sometimes be more insecure due to an easily-cracked password. Both encrypt the same, and typically WPA-PSK is easier to set up allow other people to connect to.

    2) AES is an encryption algorithm. TKIP mixes keys per packet, making an insecure encryption much more secure. They aren't mutually exclusive or directly comparable, really. It's like asking what the difference between an apple and a tractor is.

WPA-PSK or WPA-TKIP What you need to do is enter the most secure key as possiable. I recommend going to grc.com and use there random key generator. I use all printable chr and the max allowed, normally around 48 chr. The encryption is only good as the key. Note: Some routers/AP's will not take the " chr.

WEP is the encryption that can be broken in less than 2 min. WPA-PSK (TKIP) are good, and most of the current routers have a timer that they randomly change. You can always turn off SSID. But if you fail to change the default password in the router, it's a mute problem. This needs to be a strong PW too. NO words that are in a dictionary. Should consist of number and letters, with a min length of 8-10 chr, longer better.
