I've had a WNDR3700 netgear router for awhile and had an issue where if I was on the higher frequency band I will get a lag spike every 12 minutes or so making it near impossible to play online games such as LoL. After trying many trouble shooting techniques after searching google and none working I finally decided to RMA it. When I got it back, the issue still persisted and happens to multiple laptops. At this point I have to believe it can't be the router (I'll give netgear the benefit of the doubt that they wouldn't send me one with the exact same problem) and don't believe it would be multiple different laptops.

I just use the 2.4ghz channel to play games now since I couldn't figure out how to fix the problem and there's no lag on that channel. However, I have now ordered a new laptop with the 1103 bigfoot card and would like to use it to it's full abilities therefor I'm trying to get the 5ghz channel to work without lag spikes. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as it has been driving me crazy.

Edit, it was a wndr 3700 not 3600.
