    Hi,

today I ordered my new notebook[Acer 3280] and now I`ve got a new problem!
With my Desktop PC I get my connection over a ALLNET Ethernet Bridge. The WLAN signal from the cellar isnt strong enough.
I now want to establish a wireless network in my room, which I cann access from my Acer and also from my iPhone.

What would be the best and most important cheapest solution?(student is just a synonym for poor..)

    lg Luke

Cheapest? Get a second cheap wireless router, configure the wifi and then turn off the DHCP server on it, then plug your ethernet bridge cable into one of the regular LAN ports of it (NOT the Internet/WAN port... leave that empty). Plug your desktop into one of the other LAN ports, and voila, you have extended your wireless network.

It'll be even better if you configure it the same as the "main" WLAN point except for the channel, and make sure it's on a different channel. that way you don't have to do anything, you and anyone else that uses it will just connect to the strongest signal no matter where you are in the house.
