This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    WLAN Card / Extra antenna installation inside the LCD cover

    1. Open the computer casing, so you can see the current 2 antennas.
    2. Open the display casing, so you can see the current antennas there.

    Plug in the new WLAN card, then run the new 3rd antenna same route as the current ones (see 1.) are already. Then continue inside the display and use tape to attach the 3rd antenna about the middle of the display case, between the 2 old antennas (see 2.) that are usually in the corners.

    Tools you need: one small philips head screwdriver
    Time you need: roughly 30mins
