I´m planning a WLAN at home. I have ADSL internet connection and the modem is "Alcatel speed touch home".

When buying the router: should I select any special brand in relation to the ADSL modem I have?

I tried to google this withour succes.

    Thankful for any advice.

Shouldn't matter which brand/model router. Do you have an PPPoE connection? If so, you'll need to configure the router for it.

here's a full user manual for your dsl modem/router http://www.grandecom.net/site-file.php?fid=37
if you get a router gonna have to set the dsl modem/router to bridge mode (this disables dhcp in the modem/router)...or you could by a $25.00 switch and let the modem do the dhcp and port forwarding work...

Edit: didn't notice wether the dsl modem/router was wired only or also wireless...that will come into play also
