I have seen some info about GoGo, Boingo, Jiware etc that can be used for WIFI hotspots for a fee. Are these activities worth the investment or just another sham operation. Thanks

GoGo provides WIFI on airplanes (for a fee), Boingo provides WIFI at airports and hotels (for a fee), and Jiware just keeps a registry of hotspots where you can get free and paid WIFI.

Why would you think these are sham operations?

Many hotels and airports charge hourly/daily for internet use.

The airline charges the same as GoGo because the airline is using GoGo service. You're paying for the same thing.
