My girlfriend opened Vuze at work on her laptop a few weeks ago and the network dropped her and she hasn't been able to reconnect since.

She took in her other laptop and it worked fine until she opened Vuze on it and the same thing happened. What are the possible causes/fixes? Anybody else ever seen this?

Vuze is a P2P program. Most likely the office network doesn't allow P2P programs to run on their network, therefore blocking any laptop running similar programs from connecting to the network.

Perhaps your girlfriend should contact her employer's IT department to ascertain whether or not she is authorized to do what she's trying to do. It would certainly be remiss of anyone here to try and help you help her to circumvent restrictions her employer has placed on the network it owns.

Correct. Discussion on how to bypass those type of restrictions is against the forum rules so this thread is closed. As mentioned, contact the employer's IT department and reason with them if you really want to use a P2P program in a workplace environment.
