Had a problem with not being able to reconnect after the PC came out of sleep/hibernate. Searched the net and found it was a common problem.

I de-selected the "allow computer to turn of this device" in the wireless card properties and it seems fine for the last 4-5 sleep/wake cycles. Hope this is a permanent cure. Thought that I would post here for anyone else who is having the same problem.

Update- works when the comp comes out of sleep but after hibernate I still need to enter the SSID and WPA to logon to the network. Any suggestions?

Can you provide some more details, like what type of WIFI card (make/model) you have, your make of laptop, and if your using Windows to manage your connection or a specific application.

I am using Intel 4965 in a Dell Vostro 1200. My other XP laptops are all fine and I am using the Intel software for the xp laps and windows to manage the wireless in the vista one. Thats because even though I DLed the Intel Proset for Vista it does not seem to be able to manage the wireless networks.

When I open it I get only "advanced Statistics' and 'manual diagnostics' while in the xp laps I get the wireless management interface.
