So I've got a pretty big problem. Here's the situation.
I used to have two laptops, one IBM ThinkPad and one Dell, both running on Windows XP. Wireless internet worked perfectly fine with the NetGear router I currently have.
Everything went to crap once a new Dell laptop equipped with Windows Vista entered my life.
Once I got the Vista up and running, only the wireless internet on the Vista computer worked, while the two XP laptops could not access the internet.
What is weird is that all three computers are receiving signal from the router. Each computer has a distinct IP address, but when I actually open a browser on an XP laptop, either the "Page Cannot Be Displayed" error pops up or the homepage (yahoo.com) shows up for a split second (without downloading the images) and then reaches the error page.
I've been reading a ton of posts all over the internet regarding problems with Vista and XP compatibility, but they have been regarding networking and internet connection sharing.
I'm not too well-versed in computers, but I don't think this is the exact same problem as those, but maybe a variation.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this very annoying problem? I would really appreciate it!

The default workgroup for Vista is different then the workgroup for Xp. Right click on my computer and go into properties and you see the different workgroups. Xp's is MSHOME and Vista's is WORKGROUP (Going off of memory, I'm on work domain right now so those may be reversed.) Try to make them the same and see if that helps. Also check your router config, it may be only allowing a set number of IP addresses at one time. Example, I only have 3 computers on my home network so I limit the number of IP addresses to 3, down from 50 which is the max.

actually it depends on what version of XP you use vista as far as i know (home premium and ultimate) is WORKGROUP Xp varies if its home its MSHOME and professional its WORKGROUP

Another thing to look at on Vista is Port Settings. It def to IP6. This needs to be unchecked, leaving IP4 only. Here is a link for a register mod to correct the way Vista handle the DHCP. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928233/en-us
I hope this help you out.
