Can someone post the results of "netsh wlan show interface" at the command prompt (preferably with a intel 2915abg card)? I am having issues with my vista wireless speed. I want to know whether it is normal for the rec. and transmit speeds to read 5.5 mbps.

There is 1 interface on the system:

    Name : Wireless Network Connection
    Description : Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection
    GUID : f792b793-41b4-4487-8248-a1208f363b0b
    Physical Address : XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
    State : connected
    SSID : XXXXXWLAN
    BSSID : XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
    Network Type : Infrastructure
    Radio Type : 802.11g
    Authentication : Shared
    Cipher : WEP
    Connection Mode : Profile
    Channel : 11
    Receive Rate (Mbps) : 5.5
    Transmit Rate (Mbps) : 5.5
    Signal : 100%
    Profile : XXXXXWLAN

Thanks...Is that from the dell or the HP?

You have confirmed for me what I suspected that the rates should be 54.

I think there is something wrong with either the router or the 2915 card so hopefully someone with same card will also respond also.

That's from my Dell. Are you running the default Windows driver or the Intel driver for the 2915?

Intel driver...I tried both the 9.1.0.115 and 9.1.0.111 from intel.

Are you running the driver from vista? This 2915 card has been a nightmare. XP drivers were junk too. I was actually hoping Vista drivers would be better.
