    Vista Internet Problems when watching videos

    I have an issue with my laptop..it works fine for everything except this..whenever i watch any videos whether its online or using Media Player Classic or run the Windows Media Player Application, my internet connection becomes limited..

    im using an asus u6s

    can anyone help me...

    1. Some routers don't like Vista power saving on wifi....-->does not apply if it happens on both battery and power.
    2. Are your wifi drivers okay? are you using the latest 12.x.x one?

    ummm..im not using wifi currently, im using lan connection..

    ive checked my network driver details..its updated

    Realtek RTL8168/811B Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIC 6.0)

    So it happens both on lan and wifi...hmm....

    What video codecs do you have? What router?

    it only happens when im using lan connection. when im using wifi, my connection seems normal...

    Have you checked your QoS settings on your router? It may be limiting the bandwidth available.

    im using my dormitory lan connection and everyone seems to be able to watch any videos or play wmp...im the only one having a problem... :confused:
