    Hi!
Just clean formated and installed new vista ultimate. Its worse than I thought! Looks good I mean but has many compitability issues with softwares.
Anyway, issue im trying to resolve here is my wireless connection.
When I press connect to button at start up it shows no wireless networks, though there is certainly one in range, the one I always used and that has always been shown under xp! Though I have used Intel Pro/Wireless set software, which is ofcourse not compitable with vista.
I have Intel Pro Wireless 3945 ABG network connection.
P.S. the wireless switch is turned on.

I too have the Intel Pro Wireless 3945 AGB and Bluetooth and have had no problems with it running under Vista..

Have you updated to the latest drivers for it? Also try running Microsoft Update if you haven't it should have the new drivers in the database.

When I was pricing Dell laptops I noticed some wireless cards would work in Windows XP, but required a different card to work in windows Vista. Did you upgrade to windows vista or did your computer come with Windows Vista already pre loaded? Is it possible your wireless card is not compatible with vista?

I'm not sure what to tell you, everyone I know running Vista and myself haven't had a single issue with the Intel Pro Wireless under Vista, thus far anyways.

Are you sure that wireless is enabled? I assume you are talking about the connect button in Vista and not on your computer right?

If it's a connect button on your notebook it probably required a seperate driver for the button itself.
