Wireless connections are a 1/2 duplex mode.

    No.

I have FiOS 15/2 service and get 15/2 on my desktop (wired through gigabit lan) and 15/2 on my two wireless setups, including my Dell 1505 with Draft N card. On the Verizon homepage...there is a help center. Go to http://speedtest.verizon.net and run a speed test on your 1705. On the result page, there should be a button to optimize your connection. USE IT! Once done...you should see a dramatic speed increase. There is no reason you should not enjoy full speed on any machine you have

11n and MIMO can do full duplex. 11b/g are 1/2 duplex, 1 radio, and will have a limited speed. But should be fast enough for your service.
