Hi I have been having wireless connection and even ether net connection issues one several devices after adding an Encore 802.11n Wireless router to my Verizon DSL. The wireless router is connected to a Westell DSL gateway with a PPP connection.

My Ethernet connected Windows XP Home edition Dell has no internet connection issues. I also have a XBOX360 connected via Ethernet and that has no issues either.

The problems are with my HP DV6t-quadcore edition laptop (Windows 7 Professional), Dell Insperon 600m (Windos XP Home) and Archos 32 internet tablet (Android OS).

Though the Wireless signal is working from the Encore unit no device is able to connect to the internet when connected to the router via wireless. When hovering the cursor over the wireless connection box on both laptops it says connected and then says Internet Access. When the Dell is connected via Ethernet there are no connection problems. Even when connected via Ethernet the HP laptop has sporadic connectivity. Most of the time internet access lasts for less than a minute. If I cycle between turning on and off the wireless while connected via Ethernet I get connectivity for about 1 minute. I have tried changing the group type on the HP to Public, Home and Work (read that mixed networks can have issues if set as home) this has had no effect.

The Archos 32 says its connected to the Encore Wireless but it is unable to connect to the internet.

I have tried to alter the gateway setting so that it functions as the DSL connection point and not a router and this has not helped either. The wireless will not work when it is connected to the DSL modem in the intended port, the DSL gateway is connected to the router by port plunging it into the wireless port 3.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been trying to search for similar threads even if some one could point me to a thread they have seen that would be great.

    Thanks

Gateway settings on what? This paragraph doesn't make sense...

What are the 'ipconfig /all' outputs from all devices having trouble?

Also, check the system logs to see if there is anything unusual and recurring.
