    Hello,

I have a dell with a Intel wireless card.
my router is no more then 10 feet from my laptop.
there are other signals around me which i can use fairly well.
About every 2 hours or so, my card just stops doing its job,
meaning it detects nothing at all untilli restart.

    plz help.

Are you saying that you loose your signal from your router every two hours but you can still get onto other networks? This particular situation happens to me a lot, but it has a lot to do with our internet provider and the fact that they won't bury our cable outside and it is under a foot of snow.

Every 2 hrs indicates a timer is running. Check your lease time in your router, set to max.

My ISP uses a 2 hr lease time, but my router takes care of that and I never see it.
