This laptop came with Vista Home Premium, and a TON of bloatware. So I installed a fresh copy of my own Vista Ultimate that I bought awhile back. Now my wireless does not work, the light doesn't even come on when I turn the switch on. The drivers are correct, and my ethernet works through a CAT5 cable, but no wireless. Any clue on how to fix this?

P.S. - This is the black friday laptop - has anyone found a way to put XP on it yet? If not I'll just be happy if I can get my wireless working

I've sucessfully installed xp on my vaio vgn-nr110e, it requires you install it with a copy of xp that already has sp2, however, I'm having the same issue with the wireless card

Hello, i'm new on this forum.
I have the same problem: i turn on the physical switch on my VGN-NR10E and when i try to find wireless access point's signal... i don't find any WLAN.
Windows Vista Home Premium says me that i have to turn on the WLAN button, but i have already done it.
Sony Vaio's help on the notebook says me that after to have turned on the physical switch, i have to enable WLAN in the Wireless Switch Setting Utility (a Sony software). I haven't this software on my notebook and i haven't found on the Sony's site this program (i have read which has some problem with the user's rights on Windows).
The wireless chip on my notebook is Atheros and i use the last driver's version 7.2.0.215.
    A suggestion?
    Thanks.

Vista does not come with WLAN drivers build in you'll need to grab them.
If you have a wired connection to the internet you can do an auto search and it should grab some of the MS update database.
