    Hi,

I have a Server running AD\DHCP\DNS\Exchange 2007\OWA and other Services ie Printer, NAS, Itunes, VMWare ESX.

I want to be able to VPN into my home network (192.168.1.x) and access all these Servers\Services just as i would if i was at home remotely over the internet.

I tried Himiachi by Logmein however that is very limited and i cannot access all the Servers\Services. I've come across OpenVPN and also Hardware VPN ie Routers that have built in VPN functionality.

What would be my best option and way forward?

    TIA.

What about VNC? Do you just need desktop control?

Cisco VPN is what we use for work but it can be a pain to setup.

I've already got desktop control using Logmein free edition and can use vnc\rdc simply by opening and forwarding the appropiate ports.

I would like to access all the Servers and Services just as i would if i was at home i.e Outlook to Exchange Server, mapped drives.

Doesnt hamachi allow you to map the drives?

As for mail servers, i can recieve mail at home (vpn'd to mail server) but i cannot send because my ISP has blocked the default SMTP ports in place of their own. I tried changing the SMTP connector port and adding a second port but it didnt seem to work.

I would just tunnel your services through. nothing easier to setup. but does not look like your much of a linux user from your OP.

if it was me though you would need to set it up right.
Juniper SSG of some sort for server side.
and then either a client on desktop computers to connect to the firewall/vpn solution at the server side.
or grab a remote office VPN network appliance and set it up to vpn over.

so its either client to network
    or network to network
