This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    VIsta LAN shows internet connected but it doesnt load any web pages!

    i have made an ethernet connection between my desktop pc (XP) and laptop (vista) after a bit of messing i have got it working as a network, however on my laptop i cannot get the internet to load! it says in the network and sharing centre that i am connected to the internet via the network but it does not seem to be working. any ideas? thanks!!
