In my school we have a wireless internet, but it is realy wierd because we have to log in to the shool domain and I cant use firefox, Icq, skypem, limewire, msn messenger. The only thing I can realy use is Internet explorer. But at home I use firefox and I used it for about a year to.

How can I make firefox work in my school?

They're blocking those programs, most for good reason. You might ask the network admins why they;re blocking FF, they might be worried about security issues.

of you can try something like Proxifier to tunnel your way out but encapsulating your traffic to look like IE.

Skypem and limewire i understand. But icq,FF, and msn messenger is over doing it. Probably just because of general network security settings, maybe the net admin or helpdesk at your school could help ya. Assuming your talking about college.

:edit: the more i think about it, the more i question the "messengers"
Maybe they worry about exam cheating, who knows.

I don't understand stoping FF. My university even have FF installed on the on campus PCs. I really appreciated that from the IT department, because using IE becomes too ridiculous when you are trying to do some research on the library's computers and you have something like 20 articles/pages opened. Tabbing is a necessity for me.

Firefox is just like all around awesome. Weird that they're blocking it. Great security, blocks pop-ups too.
