I was wondering if there is a way that I could use my Motorola v710 as a modem for my laptop. The catch is, I can't use bluetooth. I'm wondering if there is any type of cable that I can use to connect the phone to laptop and use it as a modem.

    Thanks in advance, Kyle

There are cables for this kind of thing. www.thesupplynet.com is a starting point. I'd try contacting them to see if they can help or steer you in the right direction.

You should be able to find a some type of connection kit. Verizon offers the 'Mobile Connection it' which includes the cable and some extra software. I've also purchased 'Digital Phone Cards' from Socket Communications in the past, but am not sure if they make one for the v710 as I use the BlueTooth functionality.

Honestly, you may be better off going with a BlueTooth adapter and using VZWs ExpressNetwork. If you straight dial an internet connection through the cellphone, you'll be limited to 14.4k.
