I remember reading this article before but I can no longer find it. How do I set up my laptop as a wireless router so that other people can connect to the internet via my laptop? (My laptop has the hardline connected to it)

Yes, there is! It a feature present in most windows OS's; definitely from XP up. If you want to make your laptop an access point that provides internet to other devices, you have to first make sure you have a wired connection that is providing the internet. If you have that, then go to your network adapters, by way of control panel, and then right-click on the wired connection (ethernet, etc) and select properties. Go all the way to the last tab on the right and check "allow internet sharing through this..." Now, hit OK and follow the instructions in the second post to create a adhoc connection. Once you make the adhoc connection, search for the you wireless network on another wireless device and connect, then you'll be online. If you have any snags, PM me or post here.
