    Upgraded to Intel N-6200 - no networks detected?

    I just upgraded my 3820tg from the default Atheros to the Intel N-6200. Windows detected it and was installed correctly. However, it does not find any networks. I opened it up to make sure the antennas were connected. It still does not work, however.

    Does anyone know why this is happening?

    Dead on arrival? I would try again, uninstall and re-install. Also, confirm the antenna usage is correct.

    Try using the drivers from Intel's website.
    Also, does the Acer have a proprietary wireless connection manager? Update the software if it exists.
    Or test the adapter in another laptop if you have one.

    Are the antenna wires attached in the correct order? I've noticed that wires are numbered (at least in Clevo notebooks) and the WiFi adapters have the antenna connectors numbered.

    Have you tried telling Windows to use its own connection manager instead of the WiFi/Acer one?

    Getting the antennas backwards won't make a real difference, BUT not getting them on all the way certainly will. If the antenna wire connectors are not damaged, then they just may need proper seating. It takes a bit of pressure to get them to snap into place, and you need to make sure they're lined up properly before applying the force needed to seat them.

    Also make sure that if you have physical wireless on/off switch to make sure its on ;) I have made that mistake a couple times :D
