I am not sure this is the right place but if any of you have come across this problem please let me know the solution.
I am unable to watch any adult sites with IE8, I have googled and found no answers.

haha "adult sites"... you people kill me.

    possible reasons:
    - network restriction (school? university? work?)
    - parental controls are effed (reinstall might help)
    - IE8 violates so many internet standards like you wouldn't believe. does this happen only with adult websites?

No network, this is my home laptop. I haven't set any parental controls and yes this only happens with adult sites only. No problem using FF3.

So use Firefox. Is there a specific reason you want to use IE8 instead? Because it's more susceptible to exploits and viruses, which are more common on adult sites which typically operate on the seedier side of the 'net anyway? You just like Microsoft better?

Have you checked the default security settings that came with your IE8 installation? It's possible that they were set to high by default so that you would have to intentionally choose to expose yourself to the sort of stuff you'll find on those sites. Make sure your A/V is mucho, mucho up-to-date! :p

He/She probably want to take advantage of "InPrivate" browsing feature in IE8. LOL

Anyways, turn off phishing filter, lower the security settings, turn off website blocking..etc

Not really. When it comes to "adult sites", nothing is safe. But if you're using it for regular browsing, many review sites claim IE8 is safer than FF 3.0 rather than the other way around like you thought it was.

Have you turned off phishing filter? MS probably flagged the website you're going to because its known to have viruses thus prevents IE8 from displaying it.

With IE8 you can use the mode aka inprivate mode so the browser doesn't save cookies..etc to your computer.

Or use google chrome. Its also a nice web browser and also safe and can do private browsing for adult sites. ;)
