I am at my grandparents' house. I had previously set up their DLINK Dir-615 for their new laptop. When I first set it up almost a month ago, it was connected and able to use the wireless just fine. Now, however, it cannot - and this happened about 2 weeks ago, but I have only just been able to get around to trying to figure it out.

I apparently suck at trying to figure it out and I have been fiddling with everything for about an hour and a half.

    I have tried:
Resetting the connection on the modem.
Resetting the connection on the router.
    Unplugging both (at different times).
    Resetting the PC.
Reinstalling and reconfiguring the D-LINK software, changing the security from WPA to WEP.

I am not sure what else to try. This computer is running Windows 7 64-bit, and it does have an Atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter.

Any suggestions? Did they just get a lemon of an adapter, or is it just me not being able to do anything but play games and browse Facebook?

    Thanks!!

EDIT: My iPhone can find the signal, but the laptop itself cannot.

Try this see if the laptop is transmitting a signal when you have turned on the WIFI on the laptop.
Also you could try updating its drivers for the wireless card.

How do I check to see if it is transmitting a signal?

Drivers are updated for the card, forgot to put it in the list - one of the first things I did.

    Thanks!

click on start than connect to then show all connections then click on the wireless connection and you should see an indicator of signal strength.

Well it was able to find the other networks that the neighbours have, just not the ones I had set up and had previously had no issues connecting to.

I deleted all but the wired one. And I renamed the wired one because it was similar to the Wireless' name.
