I'm going to purchase a dual band wireless adapter for my windows 7 home desktop. I am wondering if a PCI style will function better than a USB model. I am looking at the Linksys WMP600N IEEE 802.11a/b/g, IEEE 802.11n Draft 2.0 PCI Wireless Adapter with Dual-Band model. Or the EnGenius EUB9801 IEEE 802.11a/b/g, IEEE 802.11n USB model.

Antenna placement is usually the key. If you're like most people, your PC console is on the floor.

PCI wireless with antenna out the back of the box has always worked ok for me.

Thanks for the replies on this. The newer computer that I replaced my xp box with has less usb ports and uses two of them for the mouse and keyboard. I was also under the impression that usb had more limit on speed than a PCI slot.
