make sure that it loaded the correct drivers. Go to your device manager to check and make sure it installed. Also make sure you installed the software that come with the card because Windows 2000 doesn't have the discovery feature.

or right click on my computer and properties then device manager.
ok this is what I got from the ebay page you sent me to. go here http://www.netopia.com/support/hardware/drivers/wireless_drivers.html and download the first file then unzip it. Open the file and run netopia.exe then click install usb adapter software. That should do it let us know if you still have issues.

Just connect your computer to one of the router port, the router should recognize your internal Ethernet card. Tell me if it works.

** Please, follow one direction only, or you will get confused. **

I dont know much about adapters but i think it works well. I;m not sure if this has anything to do with it, but since i have loaded it on the computer, the computer will restart or turn on automatically and sometimes comes up with a bright blue screen saying physical hardware dump and is super slow now. Also, my computer only has 1 USB and i was wondering if i could unplug it and plug something else in, and then plug it back it and not have to connect back to the internet. Thanks!

It would seems that your system is suffering some instability of a sort. When you remove your USB, do you first stopping it from its icon on the system tray so you can safely remove it? That can create system instability and even brake the USB product.

There are many products that you can plug in an USB port, but I don;t suggest that you plug and unplug products during the same internet session.

that sounds like a driver issue w/ the usb-- is it the very latest driver?

disconnect the usb wifi plug, plug another usb device in, reconnect the usb wifi adapter and still be connected to the internet?? I don't think soooooo........
