I was looking for the cheapest router with best nearby wireless speed and it seems best value for money is WR700N(with 2nd place WR1043ND). Howevever I only managed to find WR700N benchmarks in websites SmallNetBuilder and WeGotServed but benchmarks differ greatly it is 74mbps in snb and 25mbps in wgs.

Is there anyone who has TL-WR700N and could confirm either of the benchmarks in 2.4ghz/40mhz with their pc being 1-3m away from this router?

I can only answer this question indirectly. WR700N is capable only of 150mbps wireless connection (one stream) while 1043ND is a two stream router (up to 300mbps) so the latter will be faster.

You can't rely on someone else's tests as different Wi-Fi cards, firmware revisions and wireless traffic in the neighborhood can affect those results (both ways)

I own a TL-1043ND and with an Atheros wireless adapter some 6 feet from the router I get up to 112mbps downlink and 80mbps uplink.
Smallnetbuilder did their tests of the same router in a clean wireless environment (with a different Wi-Fi adapter and firmware version) and got up to 55mbps uplink and 85mbps downlink.
You won't be able to use other people's tests to reliably establish anything but all things considered TL-1043ND will be faster thanks to two stream Wi-Fi.

Thanks, yeah I know that TL-1043ND will be faster, but it will be 3x expensive.

It may depend on your location but looking at Amazon WR700N costs $32 while 1043ND costs $52 which makes the latter better value for money.
