    Hello,

I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop that has been working fine forever and just the other day when I restart the computer or power down/power up, the wireless switch which is in the "on' position remains in the "on" position, but the system no longer turns the wireless connection "on". I have to manually switch it to "off", then back to "on" and it works fine.

It's kind of annoying, and I've searched on Google for a solution, but so far, nothing.

    Any assistance would be appreciated!

    Thank you,

    Kal

It's possible your laptop is on minimal power usage? It could switch of the wireless card of automatically when theres no activity.

My wireless card is shut down automatically after a few minutes when it's connected to a AP, and the signal disappears suddenly. (no others around).
When the signal returns it's captured in the next wirelles swoop and the card goes back on. If not I have to enable it by hand using a key short cut.

    Cheers
