I am trying to do a project which distributes streamed audio via a wireless network.
The router claims to operate at 54Mbps, if I am streaming 54kbps could I theoretically have 1000 users or is it not this simple. Does each connection have an overhead attached to it ?
And what are the constraints on this laid down by the audio server ?
I have not been able to find these answers on the net, hence the post.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Normally the max usable bandwidth is around 33-34mbps with single user. Router also have a max symitanious connection. Jump over to smallnetbuilder.com and use there router table to find what it is for your router.
