I have spent 4 hours trying fruitlessly to get this establish a wireless connection to 2Wire 2700 modem/router, which already hardwired to a desktop. The Thinkvantage Access can find the network but refuses to connect. It's helpfull diagnostic says "reason unknown"

Lenovo offers no support at all. Their help line says that they don't really support software. There is no documentation anywhere about it.

I suspect that it is a security issue but the secuirity information in the 2Wire manual don't match what the Thinkvantage Access asks for.

This is my last try to get help befoe I ship the computer back to IBM. ow can they provide software with no documentation and no support?

It sounds like you are missing the sec key. Do you know how to log into the 2wire, to gain access to the admin?

The last one I did you had to type "http://2wire###" where ### is the last 3 numbers of the serial number. And the def PW is the encryption key printed on the label.

    I hope this helps you.
