I got the Netgear WGT624 router to use with my new Dell e1505.
I thought the setup would be a breeze, but I've run into a snag.
My cable modem is connected to my desktop computer via USB. The setup instructions for my router have me connecting the desktop to the router to the modem all via Ethernet. There is no ethernet on my desktop, though I do have one port on the modem.
Is there anyway I can get this thing setup? I'm only interested in wireless for the laptop. The desktop will continue running wired from the modem.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

It nonetheless should work with the USB adapter. It just has to be able to connect to the router before it will actually let you run setup,

Plug the cable modem into your router. The desktop into the router and roam with the lappy. -
Zaz, thank you.
I had a feeling that was what it was going to take.
I ordered that card, when it comes I'll let the forum know how it works for me!
again, thanks. -
I see no reason it doesn't work. NIC cards are pretty low tech nowadays.
Tell me how I can setup my wireless
