    Hello,

I was having an issue since my university blocked all ports. Most VPN services on TCP and UDP were blocked and I couldn't play games and such.

I was proposed the idea of using a TCP connection (VPN) on an SSH connection. I tried it and it worked, but I am concerned about security issues. Is it safe to do that? Particularly from the vendor that is providing me with the connection.

Your SSH tunneling connection is encrypted until it gets to your proxy or vpn provider's network, and then it's retransmitted in the clear (just like it would be if you were connecting directly). Someone can sniff your traffic at the other end, so it's important that you trust your provider.

I would be more concerned about latency and reliability issues that go with running TCP over TCP.
