When I connect my laptop to the network via the 100/1000 port on the laptop I am getting 8 to 9 mbits downspeed. When I run it wirelessly I am getting 4.5 to 6.5 mbits downspeed. I am running WPA2/AES with a WRT54G with the DD-WRT firmware. I know there is some overhead associated with the encryption, but with my DELL E-1505 I am getting 6.5 to 7. They both have the same 4985ABGN card from Intel in them. Any idea why there is such a discrepancy with the T61?
