Ive created a video for my new Ds1511+ in case any potential future purchasers are interested, and would like to learn a little more about the drive before their purchase!

I hope you find it useful:

YouTube - Synology DS1511+ NAS - Unbox, Setup & Overview

On a side-note, I am currently in the process of returning the 3TB hard drives and will revert to 5x2TB drives instead.
I've had problems trying to create a volume across multiple drives, similar to the issues in the below thread:

Synology Inc. • View topic - Can't create new volume with new DS1511+ & New HD's *SOLVED*

It seems the NAS just isn't up to using 3Tb disks just yet, even though they are on the compatibility list by Synology.
Although its possible to create the SHR/RAID5 array by adding one disk at a time, I have been unable to do this with my 3 disks, even by using the methods that solved the above user's issue. Also, I would have little faith in the system if a disk were to ever fail, on its ability to rebuild itself when there is data on the drives - especially if you have to build the volume 1 disk at a time! Hence Im sticking with the side of caution and reverting back to 2TB drives instead, which is still plenty enough for my home use needs.....

Nevertheless, hope the above video is of some use to potential buyers. Dont let the 3TB drives issue put you off, as Im sure this will be developed in future updates ;)
