Does anybody own a wireless modem from Bell Sympatico? Which is better, a wireless-N router or the wireless modem? Going with a wireless modem, you only have one device whereas with the wireless router, you have both a router and a wired modem. However, if ever I decide to change Internet provider, the Bell Sympatico wireless modem is rendered useless. Is a wireless router, even a wireless-N, slower than the wireless modem?

Well, I'm pretty sure you can reuse the modem/route as long as you are with a DSL company.

I can't say for sure, my cousin has it, it hits a pretty fast 450+ kb/sec wirelessly on average when I download stuff.

I use a Speed Stream 5200 and D-Link router, I barely hit 100kb/sec with the same connection type. I called Sympatico and they said there shouldn't be a problem, but it's still slow for me. Then they said it was because I was too far away from their networks.

Well, I'm switching ISPs next month anyways :p
