I recently got this crappy Netgear Router from my ISP (Time Warner Cable) and it continuously drops connection so I wanted to use my old router that I had with my previous ISP (AT&T) which is a 2Wire 2701 HB-B Router. I'm not sure if this is possible because the Netgear Router has a coax plug for the Cable Line and the 2Wire has a DSL line.

So, would it be possible to use the 2Wire as my main router and not the Netgear?
