    Hey ppl,

Until today I've never had problems with my wireless, but suddenly this morning I can't connect anymore to to my modem. I've got full signal strength but then I get the error message "Windows is unable to connect to the selected network"

I've already reinstalled the driver 3x and I've still got the same problems. I'm using windows xp and my card is Intel Pro 3945ABG. Any help would be much appreciated!

Nope, I'm using kaspersky internet security. The irritating thing was I didn't get any warnings or anything. I checked my email this morning, and then when I tried again 5 minutes later it wouldn't connect anymore.

Do you have a cordless device close to the router/laptop?

Did you reboot your router? Take the power out, leave it a few minutes, turn it back on....

Try to reset the router, this helps 90% of the time.

BTW, according to the ZoneAlarm site, this was only a problem for XP, not for Vista, and has been corrected in an update to the ZA products for XP.

Zonelarm is bad news, is 1000 times worst than the UAC in Vista.

You are entitled to your opinion, and I would not personally run the free firewall from ZoneAlarm, but I find ZoneAlarm AntiVirus on Vista quite good, and far superior to Comodo in my experiences. I also find Vista superior to XP in many ways.

May be I'm not using it correctly, but when I first installed it, the alert window would open 100 times more than the UAC, so it drove me crazy, lol. Is like getting a window saying: "Alert somebody is trying to type a letter in the keyboard" :D

You are also entitled to your opinion. This does not mean I agree with you. ZoneAlarm and Vista = BAD NEWS!

ZA and vista, no opinon except on vista. ZA will work fine as long as the user know hows to config it correctly. But Vista is still the second generaton ME (aka MEII). Maybe in a year or so they will have it ready for prime time. The reason I went with Apple, it works and can still run my XP-Pro.

Yes. Knowing what one is doing does tend to make things go better overall. ;)
